OIC of Rocky Mount offers medical, dental, pharmacy, and behavioral services in eastern North Carolina. They approached HALO 22 (where I work as of this writing) for help setting up a website specific to their Behavioral Health services—one that would act as an introduction to what they do, distinguish them from competitors, and provide a simple point of contact.

The OIC brand is clean, approachable, and modern. To lean into that, we designed the site with plenty of white space and used large photos to offset lengthy bits of text content. After the website had a chance to get its legs, OIC returned to us with the request to digitize paper intake forms as an added online resource for patients.

Even before COVID-19, medical organizations were moving patient intake forms online. They save time in the waiting room, which eventually became an extra important factor for at-risk patients during the pandemic. We set up three different patient intake forms, each with varying degrees of complexity. Where possible, we built-in conditional logic to maximize efficiency, the option to upload one or more insurance cards, and made sure it was all HIPAA compliant to protect patient privacy.
