Conlon Family Skatepark Identity

In 2022, we created a quick ship identity for Skate Raleigh, a local organization working to bring more skateparks to the Triangle area. We continued to expand their identity into a complete kit throughout 2022-23 as their efforts for the community took shape. And once their work came to fruition in the form of Conlon Family Skatepark, we set to work on yet another quick ship identity kit.

If you’re familiar with Skate Raleigh, you’ll notice that the branding is vibrant and super saturated with color. We took that approach to appeal to folks of all ages and backgrounds and get them excited about future skatepark projects. However, the branding for the skatepark itself is geared more toward the skater audience who will be using the park the most. It’s still bold and fun—but darker with more neutral tones and a little more grungy by comparison. It also serves another goal: Becoming a working formula for future skateparks. We selected typography for the logo that would work well in stencil format for spraypainted signage, making it ultra-quick to deploy on-site.

Check out a few pages from the brand guide below, and be sure to check out the skatepark next time you’re in Raleigh!
