Education & Job History

I received my BFA in Graphic Design from Appalachian State University in 2009. From there, I freelanced for ASU’s on-campus art gallery—and a small design shop in Raleigh—while I honed my skills.

In 2011, got my first full-time design job with a B2B marketing agency called Koroberi. I worked there until 2014 when I moved to Durham, NC and accepted an offer from a design agency called Registered Creative. Registered was my home for years, and in 2020 we split off onto an exciting new venture called HALO 22.

About Me

I live in Durham, NC with my husband (Alişan) and two cat sons (Albus, Ollie).

Besides design, my interests include:

  • Cookies. They’re a #1 priority in my household. The chocolatey-er the better. Here’s my favorite recipe for small batch chocolate chip cookie bars!
  • Chocolate. NC is such a good place for chocolate. Strongly recommend Elevated Chocolates, Bittersweet Raleigh, Videri and Escazu.
  • Reading. In 2021 I set a goal to read 100 books, and I can’t believe it but I met the goal. See what I read on Goodreads. I’m working toward the same goal for 2022.
  • Comedy. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, I regularly went to stand-up shows at Goodnights in Raleigh. I haven’t been in a long time, but I love a good stand-up set. Favorite comedians include: Hannah Gadsby, Ronny Chieng, Hari Kondabolu, Sam Jay, Catherine Cohen, Wanda Sykes, Jayde Adams, Tig Notaro… I’m prepared to continue this list if prompted.
  • Sci-Fi and Fantasy TV. My latest obsessions are What We Do in the Shadows (silly vampires!) and Our Flag Means Death (silly pirates!). Feel free to contact me to nerd out about those shows (or anything else produced by Jemaine Clement or Taika Watiti) anytime.
  • Bourbon. Woodford Reserve, neat.
